The fabric element of the leather boots reminds me of Pendleton, a brand that has been gaining steam ever since their buzzed-about collaborations with Opening Ceremony burst onto the fashion scene. And who could forget Proenza Schouler’s Fall 2011 collection, an homage to the Native American textiles and blankets designers Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCullough collected during their journey through the American Southwest last year. Elise was smart to combine such eye-catchers with an effortless, breezy all-black look. It keeps the focus where it should be, on that fantastic footwear.
