This photo is of Jessica Quirk from the fashion blog What I Wore, one of my favorite personal style bloggers. I photographed her several times at NYFW in February and then visited her at her book signing here in Chicago last month. She’s a really cool and down-to-earth person, and deserves every ounce of success. I am so happy to see Jessica living the dream. She earned it.
This photo is symbolic too: I’m always the girl in the flat shoes – notwithstanding the fact that they’re either my Margiela sneakers or Celine ankle boots – next to my friends in towering heels. I like it that way. After all, I can’t run in heels.
