Mimi Jung of Brook and Lyn

Mimi Jung is the impossibly chic woman behind Brook And Lyn. Not only is she a personal style blogger, she also designs incredible jewelry using rope and geodes like the necklace pictured here. You can follow Mimi on Twitter, @BrookAndLyn, and be sure to ‘like’ her page on Facebook.

On another note Mimi’s handbag is the new Reed Krakoff tote bag, which you can purchase here. I was a tad bit skeptical at first, but Mr. Krakoff’s pieces are slowly winning me over.

This weekend I spent most of my time street-style hunting in Wicker Park. I’ve been neglecting this neighborhood as of late, which is totally unforgivable, so yesterday and Saturday I tried my best to make amends to the hub of youth culture and fashion in Chicago. As I hung out around the intersection of North and Damen, Lynde was an easy choice for me. I knew her tall stature and on-trend purple denim shorts would make for a stunning photograph.

VIDEO: Glamorama 2011 Keith Haring Breakdancing

August 14, 2011  |  Concerts, Glamorama, Live Music, Video

As Glamorama 2011 was titled “Artrageous” this year, the evening was all about great artists. Everyone from modern day enigma Banksy to iconic Vincent Van Gogh works was featured as a backdrop to phenomenal fashion. My favorite part of the entire evening was during the Keith Haring portion of the night. Dancers began breakdancing on stage in brightly colored outfits. Adult male dancers were later joined by women on stage, followed by youth. The performance was energizing and completely wowed the audience, who cheered and applauded the dazzling display of physical movement and choreography.
