Katie Fischer is one of the cool people I met during NYFW. I’m lucky to say that she also became a friend. We instantly bonded over living in Chicago since Katie is originally from Lake Forest. For me, it was such a breath of fresh air to spend time with a down-to-earth Midwesterner during the intense social posturing that defines fashion week. Sharing tea at an Argo in the Village went a long way towards making me feel sane again, even if only for three hours. Time flew by before we even knew it, and then it was back to the circus!
