I spotted Nicky out front of Hermes at the intersection of Rush and Oak Streets. She told me she was visiting from out of town and was looking for some good shopping. Noticing the Stuart Weizman boots and Chanel purse, I directed her a few blocks down to Ikram. She looked confused, so rather than elaborate I just looked in her eyes and said “Proenza Schouler and Rodarte.” Those magic words clicked and were all she needed to hear as she promptly dashed south!

Linsey is a great example of how young fashionable women are dressing in Chicago these days. The casual denim shorts keep the look grounded, while her green scarf provides the perfect dash of bright color and superbly highlights the Missoni headband in her perfectly curled hair. Mulberry’s Alexa handbag, along with the ultra-popular Proenza Schouler PS1, achieved “it bag” status in 2010 and only continues to gain popularity for its slouchy, easy-going utilitarian look in luxurious leather.
