On Refinery29: Andrea, Blonde Bedhead

Andrea Kerbuski Amy
Those of you who are familiar with my website and the Chicago fashion blog world in general already know who Andrea Kerbuski is. She needs no introduction. I hadn’t met up with her in a long time so we arranged to meet at the Eugenia Kim trunk show, which you can read about here on Blonde Bedhead. Not many people know this but Andrea is the only fashion blogger who is also a part of my personal social network; she and I have several friends in common back from our Michigan State days. Although strangely, we never crossed paths during our school days (before either of us had blogs). It wasn’t until she moved to Chicago that we finally met as we had both heard about each other through mutual friends (*cough* Karrin and Haley *cough*).

On Refinery29: Claudia, Perfectly Faux Fur

Claudia_Amy_R29
I ran into Claudia on Rush Street where she was shopping on a Saturday afternoon. She told me through a thick Irish accent that she’s studying abroad here in Chicago. We had a nice chat about street-style blogs in general, and she was quite excited since this was her first time being stopped. I was surprised considering her hometown Dublin is one of the bigger European cities and she has such great style, but I suppose not every city is crawling with street-style photographers!

I love how she mixed typically “goth” creepers with a peace sign necklace and a flat circular hat for a funky vibe. And heightening the great sense of personality, Claudia even tied a vintage silk scarf on her vintage leather bag. The bubble-gum pink faux fur coat adds such a delightful sense of texture. Oh, and need I even mention the purple pants?

On Refinery29: Nicole, Fur & Fuschia

Nicole’s look has a magnificent amount of proportion play, with her oversized fur coat and billowy maxidress. The silhouette, from her topknot down to the leather boots, makes this photo one of my favorites. But really, it’s her fuschia lipstick that pulls Nicole’s entire look together.
