Andrea the Blonde Bedhead

Andrea Blonde Bedhead
I met up with Andrea of Blonde Bedhead to photograph her at the Millennium Park public art statue Cloud Gate. Better know by its nickname “the bean,” this installation is an iconic representation of Chicago. What better place for two fashion bloggers to meet up for an impromptu photo session? It started to rain no less than five minutes after we arrived, hence the overcast sky.

Allison at the Historic Water Tower

Allison

Allison is wearing a dress by Cynthia Rowley, where she used to work before snagging a job at the new Topshop. I’ve photographed Allison once before around the corner from the Cynthia Rowley in Lincoln Park. I ran into at Halsted and Armitage on my way to the El after visiting my friends at E-Drop Off. You’ll notice that she’s wearing a huge chunky menswear watch, most likely Michael Kors. This is a trend that shows no sense of slowing. Combining the tough black ankle combat boots and watch with the cool pastel shades of a silk dress creates a fantastic contrast. The best style delights in the unexpected.

Chuniq

chuniq
Chuniq appeared to me like a mirage amidst the sea of tourists on Michigan Avenue. I had gone down to the Magnificent Mile to pick up my new coat I’d ordered from Zara (outfit post soon). Her turban, natural beauty, and large gold hoop earrings instantly elevated her from the crowd. It’s the moments when I spot an extraordinary everyday person that drives me to do what I do. Capturing the spirit and the energy of the individuals I see who inspire me is really what my blog is about.
