Several months ago J Brand Jeans approached me about working with them to promote their new social media website, JWorld. I was more than happy to collaborate, as the jeans are beloved by fashion icons like January Jones and Anna Wintour. Most recently her royal highness the Duchess of Cambridge Catherine Middleton made waves in the media for her choice of the J Brand 811 mid-rise skinny leg during her recent North American tour. I still feel quite honored that J Brand hand-selected me to help promote their new initiative.
I was given quite a lot of freedom in creating my photos. The only requirement was that I produce street-style images of individuals in J Brand jeans. With the agency’s approval, I went above and beyond the guidelines by shooting at Chicago landmarks including the Bean (Millennium Park’s Cloud Gate), the Daley Plaza Picasso statue, and Wrigley Field.
J Brand Jeans was the first of many fashion companies to collaborate with Amy Creyer to communicate their brand to the Chicago market. To view her entire 15 image portfolio for the project, as well as additional advertising campaigns, click here to visit AmyCreyer.com
I spotted Melani on one of the recent viciously hot days. The heatwave that engulfed Chicago and the entire American Midwest finally let up with the arrival of thunderstorms. A sheer white dress like this is the perfect way to beat the heat and look cute simultaneously.
