Celine Pants at Lincoln Center

Celine pants

Celine pants aside, there is something mesmerizing about this woman’s simplicity. I know that minimalism is in and all, but she mastered the aesthetic. The oversized blazer is the key. A bit of proportion play is an excellent method to keep a minimal look intriguing, since it can run the risk of looking boring. I went thrifting recently and bought an oversized authentic Pendelton blazer for an astonishing $5. What was more startling was that whoever priced that garment had no idea what they were looking at.

Behind the Sartorialist

Sartorialist Michelle Singh
Scott Schuman’s photo of Michelle Harper and Keegan Singh was one of the first photos he posted during NYFW. Being present to see the shots taken in real life is an extraordinary experience. It’s one of the most surreal aspects of shooting street-style during fashion week. I’ll see one of Schuman’s photos Tumbled all over the internet, only to smile to myself that I witnessed the actual moment in real life.

Susie (Bubble) Lau

Susie Bubble multicolors

At every show I saw Susie attend, Susie Lau sat front row. Why? Because her blog, Style Bubble, is celebrated reading for both fashion industry insiders and outsiders. Susie first rose to prominence for her combination of outlandish yet brilliant personal style photos and critical analyses of fashion designs. She is also a champion of newer up-and-coming designers, and has recently been singing the praises of Maarten Van Der Horst.
