Yohji Yamamoto skirt at Ikram

Read my post about this magical Yohji Yamamoto inflatable skirt on PinkMemo.

Styled with a black t-shirt emblazoned with the words “This Is Me,” this bright yellow skirt was the final look in Yohji Yamamoto’s Spring 2011 RTW collection. A bold statement amongst the sea of gothic black that preceeded it, this skirt has been quite literally making waves within the fashion world. Constructed according to the methods used for plastic pool rafts, this garment evokes a sense of childlike wonder inside of me.

This same skirt has been featured in top fashion publications, including the Special Collections feature in the February 2011 issue of Paris VOGUE styled by Jane How and modeled by Sasha Pivovarova.

*Special thanks to to everyone at Ikram
