After the most ferocious winter I’ve ever endured, it’s difficult to articulate just how wonderful it was to hit the streets with my camera this weekend. Imagine how thrilled I was to run into Shannon in Wicker Park! After literally hibernating for months on end, we finally emerged from this dark, brutal winter with spring weather starting to peek through. Transition dressing is here! After all, last Friday heralded the arrival of spring. Thankfully temperatures rose just high enough for me to hit the streets with my camera this weekend. Four years ago, back when I was a fresh-faced blogger, I went hunting regardless of the weather. Hell, I even went out during snowmaggedon in February 2011. Don’t believe me? These days, if I can’t hold my camera with bare hands I don’t go out. End of story. Between the polar vortexes and arctic blasts, I’m getting too old for this shit.
