Chicago would be a far more interesting place if there were more people courageous enough to express their individuality through a fiercely personal sense of style. Luckily, there is one person who I can always count on for an intriguing photo: Sky Cubacub. The precociously accomplished chainmaille and embroidery artisan is studying art and design at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago on a Presidential Scholarship, the nation’s highest educational honor for seniors graduating from high school.
