I ran into Kortnee walking down Rush street towards Barneys for an event. I was actually walking home when I ran into her in between Oak and Bellevue after hanging out with my friends at Sofia. Obviously I could not resist photographing her in those crimson red pants and platform heels. This deep red is most certainly the color of Fall 2011. She told me her earrings are from Drapes, a local jewelry line helmed by Ashley Scott. Like a perfect photography subject, Kortnee was totally game to stand out in the crosswalk (there was a walk sign) so I could capture a great background. I think I succeeded, don’t you?

When I saw Lauren, I instantly recognized the dog and the leggings. I’ve photographed Lauren’s sister Morgan Carr several times for my blog. She’s one of my favorite Gold Coast regulars to run into on Rush Street. Although the lighting could have been better, dusk was nearing and it was an overcast day. I love the way her hair is highlighted though. The texture and luminescence of hair is one of my favorite things about portrait photography.

I spotted Danny strolling down Rush Street with his friend Jasmin. It was Danny’s vintage Japanese Tabi
shoes that truly caught my eye. When I asked him if they are uncomfortable he told me that they’re actually the most comfortable shoes he owns because of the way they conform to his foot. Consider these the high fashion version of the Vibram five-fingers shoes.
