Remington Messinger is a freelance photographer, designer, and performance artist. He graduates this May with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from SAIC. It was refreshing to spot a familiar face amidst the sea of tourists while street-style hunting on the Magnificent Mile.

I photographed Nick because I found his use patches, accessories, and color very interesting. I think it’s easy for us in the fashion community to disregard style that falls outside of the box. Nick clearly put a lot of thought into his look, meticulously adorned himself with symbols, and took great care to choose the right bracelets.
After all, isn’t creating an individual identity what fashion is all about?
