Jasmin Rodriguez of Vintage Vandalizm

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you know that vintage is a huge movement that’s swept through fashion from streets up into the upper echelons of high society. Vintage-focused bloggers have played a huge role in driving its popularity by showcasing their thrifting finds outfits. Jasmin Rodriguez of the blog Vintage Vandalizm is one such blog that explores the vintage lifestyle in lush photographs.

NYFW: Taylor Sterling of SterlingStyles

taylor

When I spotted Taylor Sterling of SterlingStyles I knew we had at least one thing in common: a mutual love for the color green. I blame mine on my Spartan past. Go green go white! In fact it was a fellow MSU alum who introduced us, the gorgeous Andrea Kerbuski. There is something really appealing to me about a young woman who can pull off a ladylike look without looking older. As a 25 year old myself, I take inspiration and guidance from other bloggers who are my age, like Andrea and Taylor. If Taylor can dress like this and look this good, then so can I! The key here is that Taylor remained edgy by mixing together two greens, a risky move but one that paid off. The “lady deconstructed” aesthetic is what Proenza Schouler rose to fame on, so clearly Taylor’s look is emblematic of a greater movement amongst young women everywhere.

Christina Zayas of LeCityKitty

Le City Kitty

I met Christine of the fashion blog Le City Kitty at New York Fashion Week. Christina’s edgy street-smart look and visible tattoos caught my eye nearly immediately. I also thought she had on the Chloe docs, the ones I’ve wanted FOREVER, but she actually made my day when she told me they were Jeffrey Campbells. I found them online here so you can pick yourself up a pair if you wish. The huge rubber platform makes them very stylish winter boots. They’re perfect for stepping over the impending slush that’s soon to coat Chicago’s sidewalks.
