I am really excited about doing my first product giveaway with a secret company! This company is all about color, and they’re relaunching their brand on August 15th with Australian indie rockers Strange Talk. I will be doing a series of 3 giveaways over the next week, and this is the first prize. They’ll be pioneering a new technology that allows users to click on items in a YouTube video – like sunglasses or shirts – and then be sent those items in the mail. The company is giving away thousands and thousands of items on August 15th, just like these, so make sure to tune in when I post a link to the video!
To win, all you have to do is this:
1) Become a Facebook fan of ChicagoStreetStyle.com here and write on our wall about why you love color, so we know you’ve followed us! If you’re already a follower on Facebook you can still participate, just make sure you write on our wall.
2) Become a Facebook fan of Strange Talk here.
That’s it! I’ll announce the winner of the iPod Nano, American Apparel socks, and pink tights Thursday at 5pm!

The box is full of goodies that I will be giving away to my readers over the next 7 days. I will be posting about the contest itself in the next day or so, once I decide exactly what the requirements are. The items inside are super cool, and honestly it’s going to be hard for me to give them away and not keep them for myself!
I never made a formal announcement about my Argo Tea exhibit, hence this post. I was graciously invited by Argo Tea to put together an exhibit of street-style photos. Several of the managers there are avid readers of my website. I hope it’s not only because I am probably Argo’s #1 customer!
Argo cafes are always my “meet up” location when I’m hanging out with other bloggers too. So I’ve gotten to know the company fairly well. I come from a long line of tea drinkers. My grandfather was born in England, and we all know how much the English love tea. True to her father’s legacy, my mom brews tea every morning when she wakes up. I was raised as a tea connoisseur. Now when I go back home, that’s one of my favorite emotional connections to my childhood is to have my mom make me tea in the morning. The best part about being an Argo regular is that I know my money is supporting a company with a great mission, which is built around sustainability and health.
My photos will be up up until the end of August. I edited the selection to include my favorite images from Electric Forest Festival, Pitchfork Music Festival, and summer Chicago street-style. Strangely enough, the woman in this photo from EFF is an Argo store manager. Chicago is a such a small world, even when you’re six hours away in upstate Michigan!
If you’re shopping along the Magnificent Mile, please take a moment to drop by the Argo Tea behind the Gap to view my photos. Seeing the pictures physically on the walls of my favorite cafe is incredibly rewarding and something I’m really very proud of.
