You should know by now that I am obsessed with multicolored hair. Ombre, bleached, streaked – you name it – if there’s color, I’m photographing you. So when I spotted Tiani’s bright red braid and asymmetric cut, that was it. Done. Hairstyles can make or break a street style photo, and Tiani’s ultra-stylish cut clearly identifies her as someone who understands the forces of fashion.
Make sure to check out Tiani’s blog, tinthesky.
The Style Tribe is Chicago’s newest favorite personal style blog. The website is a hybrid between a street style and a personal style blog and features one of the five women each day of the week; my good friend and ChiCityFashion blogger Jena Gambaccini, local entrepreneur Corri McFadden, Nicole, Erin, and Bridget. I love the concept for including a group of women. In my opinion, personal style blogs can get a little stale because it’s always the same person. So including a group of fashionable women, each of whom posts once a week, avoids that blogging pitfall.
I mentioned The Style Tribe earlier this week in my post about the Gilt City Chicago warehouse sale, but these ladies looked so fashionable at Borris Powell’s show tonight that I had to give them their own post!
This past Saturday morning before attending the Erin Gordon trunk show I actually work up early for the 10 a.m. VIP shopping slot at the Gilt City Chicago warehouse sale. I also got my good friend Jena Gambaccini a last minute VIP shopping slot and she brought her boss and friend Corri McFadden, the ultra-chic owner of Shop E-Drop Off.
The Gilt City Chicago warehouse sale sold out quickly and shoppers with tickets lined up around the block for a chance to score mad deals on designer goods. Everyone I saw left with massive shopping bags and I saw several groups of women squealing with glee over the discounts they received on expensive brands like Frye, Marc Jacobs, and Missoni.
I landed a Surface to Air studded sweater, a Marc Jacobs red metallic plaid blazer, and a Marc Jacobs gold dress in the same pattern.
