There are so many reasons I love this photo of Samm Mackin, PR Director for Gallery Aesthete. Mostly because he’s like a younger more attractive version of Keanu Reeves in The Matrix. And coming from me, there’s no higher compliment. Seriously.

I bought my Junya Watanabe dress/coat because duh, I wanted to channel my inner Trinity. She’s a timeless fashion inspiration, ok! It’s not just because I’m nearing 30 that I look to late 90s sci-fi flicks for style. Oh, and there’s a photo of me floating around on Facebook that my former ACD took of me on my birthday this year with the caption ‘the truth is out there, Neo…’

 

Yup, there it is. And more Junya, of course. Megan’s Sacai coat is the true fashion star, while Dana beats me by a long shot in Matrix-attitude. Girlfriend looks like she halted a stream of bullets with her mind while simultaneously blowdrying her hair, and didn’t even break a sweat. Dat smile…
