Manolo and Me
For the longest time, I thought I was a Louboutin girl. The first pair of shoes I ever ‘invested’ in were the Louboutin Simple 85s, which I purchased my junior year of college. Back in 2007, there was something that felt dated about Manolo Blahniks. Oversaturation caused by the likes of Carrie Bradshaw and her crew are partially to blame. These days, nothing feels more chic than a shoe without a platform.
My new killer Manolo Blahniks are the girls’ version of a sportscar, and the color has a rich depth to it like car paint. I fell in love with these shoes the first time I saw them, justified not purchasing them at the time, then went back to snag them on sale… a very happy ending!
