Come shop Nicole Richie’s new limited-edition collection for Macy’s Impulse with me at the Macy’s on State Street. I’m hosting a bash to celebrate Wednesday September 12 from 5:30 to 7:30 in the Impulse department. The party is public, but if you want to RSVP (but you don’t have to) then you can join the public Facebook event here. Don’t forget to bring your friends – there’ll be tons of sweets and free drinks!
Plus, check out these fun videos I made with Macys to show how I’d style one piece – the asymmetrical feather-print dress – for 5 different days of the week. I also wanted to show off the fantastic city itself, so I worked with the crew and Macy’s to create a story arc spanning five Chicago neighborhoods.
Day 1 – The Loop
Day 2 – Wicker Park
Day 3 – River North
Day 4 – North Side Neighborhood
Day 5 – Gold Coast
I’ve written about Michelle Harper before in previous posts, but damn does she always bring her A game. Her strong personality means she’s able to carry outfits that simply wouldn’t work on a meek soul. Oh, and earrings? They’re tiny cameras. How incredible is that!
Susie Bubble is one of the only people I know of, in the internet world or the real world, who can pair wildly directional pieces and pull the look off flawlessly. There’s always a clear reference and coherence to her outfits. I’m not a fashion critic or anything, and I’m certainly not an expert, but her inventiveness and wild creativity never fails to amaze me. I certainly could not do what she does.
