New York... the Flannel

New York… the Flannel

September 28, 2012

I’ve written at length about how much I love a flannel shirt tied around the waist. I also love embroidered sheer tops (preferably vintage) and PS1 bags. That being said, it’s not hard to see why this lovely lady caught my eye on Lincoln Center Plaza. Although this location has become a breeding ground for famewhoring and general obnoxiousness, there are still great outfits to be shot. They’re just getting fewer and farther between. Random people, who are not attending shows or doing any discernible work in the fashion industry, dress like straight up lunatics on the plaza hoping to be photographed by the hordes of street-style photographers circulating around the fountain. Thank god I found this woman, who made my journey to the Upper West Side well worth it.

  1. I agree that sometimes more simplicity is much more pleasing, especially at NYFW at Lincoln Center, as there were plenty of, er, interesting styles going on around there… Some were art, while other’s looked more like expensive attempts. We too were intrigued by a young woman who was just passing by the area. She wasn’t done up, but still a colourful figure in the crowd. ( http://lordashbury.com/af-047/ )
