Cathy is one of my favorite fashion critics because she takes her role as a journalist seriously. She’s an intellectual who values her role as a scholar of fashion. In today’s era of “editor as stylist” it’s refreshing to see a fashion journalist who can actually write. I anxiously check the New York Times website for her runway show reviews during fashion week, although her articles for the Times during the rest of the year are equally insightful.
