Meagan of LATTERSTYLE

If you follow me on Twitter (@ChiStreetStyle) you should know by now that my friend Meagan’s personal style blog LATTERSTYLE is at the top of my online reading list. Not only is she a supremely talented stylist, but her acerbic wit, propensity to tear apart and reassemble fashion collections, and touching commentaries have earned her a loyal and dedicated following.

Some might describe her look as “high fashion goth” with her penchant for leather straps, largely black color palette, and edgy footwear. I’m proud to say that Meagan’s aesthetic has strongly influenced my own as I continue to shift towards a darker, edgier look. My Erin Gordon x Sarca skull bracelets were the starting point but now I’m devouring everything black and scary. I’m using fashion to balance out different aspects of my personality and am truly inspired by LATTERSTYLE.

I had the pleasure of meeting Kimberle Salter while streetstyle hunting in the Gold Coast this past Sunday. We struck a common bond over our designer clothes. She was impressed with my ability to instantly identify her Junya Watanabe pants and Rick Owens boots, and I with her recognition of my Alexander Wang x Linda Farrow sunglasses. Like two peas in a pod, we both whipped out our cameras to photograph each others’ amazing looks.
