Sara

I love the quirky vibe created by Sara’s bold black knit top with white graphic band, soft camel skirt, black leggings and brown leather boots. Sara proves the outdated the fashion mantra “black and brown clash” wrong, and shows how well these colors complement each other. I love how black and brown together exude an earthy, yet urban edginess, especially when black apparel is paired with brown leather pieces. The purple flower behind her ear adds a lovely natural touch.

Jack’s awesome skull tee made me regret not buying Threadless’ Zombie at Tiffany’s shirt.

Marissa

Marissa
Remember how I explained my addiction to featuring hot tattooed women in the Jenna & Aaron post? Well, Marissa is one of my favorite tattooed Chicagoans to feature here on Chicago Streetstyle Scene. I love her strong sense of streetstyle and like to think of her look as “playful rebellion.” The edginess of the prison stripe balloon skirt is offset by the conservative black cardigan. Like Eve, she superbly integrates fire engine red – in this case killer red cowboy boots – into a black and white ensemble.
Red, black, and white is one of Fall 2010’s trendiest color combinations. Chicago Streetstyle Scene is on the cutting edge of consumer fashion and you can always count on us to spotlight what trends real people are wearing.
