Emily – American Apparel sales associate
I spotted Emily, yet another impeccably dressed American Apparel associate. Every time I see a well-dressed American Apparel employee I fall more in love with the “New Look.” I adore the quirky twist on classic styles. The new collection can easily be blended in with such disparate brands as classic prepster label J.Crew, as well as ultra-trendy fashion superpower H&M – two of my favorite places to shop. It takes cojones to pull off some of their oddest pieces (e.g. micro-mesh harem pants), but isn’t that what great fashion is all about? Confidence and trendsetting go hand-in-hand, and true style is never created by followers.

American Apparel is such a misogynistic, female-crushing company. Like the "New Look" all you want, but any company that pushes a shirt that says "Eat Less" and is run by a man who takes sexual advantage of his employees is NOT fashion – it's harassment.
