When I saw Jordan walking down Rush Street this weekend I was immediately drawn to her spirit and energy. I’d photographed her once before and one of my favorite things about being a street-style photographer is running into people I’ve shot in the past. Not only do I love reconnecting with them, but it’s fascinating to see how their style shifts in the interim and I know my readers enjoy it too.
From the red lips and knotted trench coat to the Proenza Schouler PS1, everything about Arianne’s look is perfect for springtime in Chicago…
Kristin’s outfit shows that even a ladylike piece like a lace skirt can be transformed by personal style. The open weave sweater and denim chambray shirt lend a casual, California sensibility to a piece that could otherwise be super girly. I love how fashion can be such a strong tool for self-expression!
Then, I recreated Kristin’s outfit on Danielle. To show that lace is more versatile than people realize, I went with shorts that I scored for $129.99, compared at $250 elsewhere. Whether you choose a shirt or shorts, T.J.Maxx has lace covered with pieces that are high-quality and in-season, all for an amazing price. Casual yet polished, Kristin’s outfit seemed to truly express her personality while being on-trend for spring and polished enough for work.
