The bright primary colors and Mickey Mouse lend a playfully young vibe to Chris’ look. I’m really feeling the whole “camouflage as print” idea where its entirely divorced from its military references.
I’m thrilled to finally announce that I am one of nine street-style photographers now working with the iconic fashion publication W Magazine to bring fantastic content to their readers. The new collaboration, W’s World of Style, has been under wraps for about six months. As a Chicagoan, I’m even more excited to note that Chicago is the only city specifically represented. The other photographers, including Candace Lake, Craig Arend of Altamira, Adam Sinding of Le 21eme Arrondissement and Guerre of Guerrisms, represent the very best of the best in terms of worldwide fashion week street-style.
You’re probably familiar with their work in Vogue, V Magazine, Harper’s Bazaar, and many others. To be included in their company is a little intimidating, because I admire and respect them all so much. I think it’s a testament to Conde Nast’s foresight that they realize fans of street-style photography also want to see lots of everyday people with great style, and Chicago has that in spades.
My first batch of photos went live on Monday, and I’ll be uploading more in the months and weeks to come. Check out my photo gallery on wmagazine.com here!
