For the first time ever, I am hosting a party in the suburbs. I’m not against the suburbs; in fact, I regularly take the Metra to the Western Suburbs to see my college best friend. That means I’m really excited to be partnering up with Sebastian Professional hair products and StyleCaster to co-host an event at the renowned Teddie Kossof Salon. For those of my readers who live in Northfield or any of the other North Shore or Northwest Suburbs, I would LOVE to meet you. I don’t often get to hear from or hang out with my suburban followers because I am so entrenched in the city, so I think this is a great opportunity to change things up a bit.

There will be drinks and lots of goodies to be had so I hope to meet some new faces!!

I am so excited to introduce my new intern Chloe Akari! She’s been working with me for a little over a month now, although we just went street-style hunting for the first time together on Saturday when I photographed her. Did you notice my Tumblr page came back to life? We have Chloe to thank for that as she’s taking over all the syndication responsibilities for my blog. Oh, and obviously she has great taste. Like me, she loves thrifting and her wardrobe is based on a mixture of high and low. Her dress is by NAHM and was a gift from a friend. I feel so lucky to have Chicago’s most stylish teenager as my assistant! Not only that, she has that winning combination of ambition and talent, and will be attending summer fashion school at Central Saint Martens in July for three weeks. Plus it’s so much fun having someone to go street-style hunting with on the weekends now!
