Saturday November 13, 2010, Gold Coast boutique Sarca hosted a trunk show featuring Erin for Sarca, an exclusive jewelry collection by Erin Gordon. The event was hosted by socialite Lesley Prizant Goodman. Guests were treated to complementary oxygen facials by certified esthetician Leah Chavie. Erin Gordon’s jewelry is inspired by spiritual iconography from Asia. Gold and silver Buddha heads, hamsa hands, and OMs adorn bracelets of semi-precious stones and crystals. Lapis lazuli, jade, quartz, and turquoise are just a few of the stone beads Erin uses to create her classic jewelry. You can find Erin for Sarca exclusively at Sarca, located at 710 North Wabash.
If there is only one socialite in Chicago you need to know, it’s Candace Jordan. She is a philanthropist, fashion blogger, and all around society maven. Back in the swinging 70’s she was a playboy bunny featured on a total of four Playboy covers. Candace is also one of the nicest and coolest people I habitually run into at Chicago fashion events. Check out her blog here.
While at the Chicago Fashion Incubator runway show I ran into Brittney Payton. I originally met her at the Me: In Focus magazine’s September 2010 issue release party, where she was the guest of honor and the issue’s cover girl.
Brittney Payton is a remarkable woman and a treasure to the people of Chicago. She tirelessly campaigns for humanitarian and social causes and often speaks publicly about the importance of being an organ donor. Brittney is also very active in the Walter & Connie Payton Foundation and works with the Illinois Department of Child and Family Services to coordinate resources to help children in need. Brittney is the daughter of the late Chicago Bears running back Walter Payton.
