Evil Kitty Runway Show: PHOTOS

April 3, 2011  |  Chicago Street Fashion, Runway

Evil Kitty is helmed by Chicago designer Lidia Wachowska. Lidia moved to Chicago from Poland at 19 years old and attended the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Her garments often feature imagery of the Evil Kitty. Today Lidia presented her Spring and Fall 2011 collections together at the Chicago Fashion Incubator pop-up shop at the 900 Shops. Her runway show included a variety of looks, from lacy baby doll dresses to nautical striped maxi-dresses. The line packs a lot of attitude into wearable, beautiful dresses!

Evil Kitty garments are available for sale at the CFI Pop-Up Shop on the 5th floor of the 900 Shops at 900 North Michigan Avenue. A full list of stockists is available here.

Backstage at Christina Yi

My friend and Laundry Magazine editor Samm Mackin invited me to cover the Christina Yi fashion show at Lumen, a kaleidoscopic nightclub in the Fulton Market district. Samm took me backstage to snag some photos of run-up to the runway show. My five favorites are below:
