Meghan

Megan
Meghan is one smart lady. Within 5 seconds of meeting her she hatched a plot and convinced me to join her in a diabolical scheme to get her friend Dylan’s hat back. Long story short, Jay Electronica took Dylan’s beloved hat, wore it, and then tossed it into the audience. Meghan’s friend runs the hat company Brooklyn Betty with his brother, so he couldn’t have paid for a better advertisement than for Jay Electronica to be photographed in one of his designs.

Problem was, the guy who caught it awkwardly refused to return the hat to its rightful owner. Dylan gave up on trying to get his hat back when it became apparent that he was dealing with an irrational and probably mentally unhinged Jay Electronica fan. I was going to ask to photograph him with the hat (the fan had tucked it into his jacket) so that Dylan could snatch it back. But by the time we arrived, Meghan’s friend did the classy thing and made peace, allowing the crazed thief to keep his bounty. I hear all is well – Dylan and the fan are now Facebook friends.

If you want a piece of the action to remember Jay Electronica’s epic performance, you can purchase one of the hats here at Brooklyn Betty.

Lindsey

Lindsey
I spotted Lindsey and her Chanel purse backstage at North Coast Fest on Saturday. Lindsey’s friend Eliot Lipp got her the coveted Guest Pass, which allowed wearers to access an open bar all weekend.

Beth is a fashion blogger herself and runs the website Lux Streets, where she explores vintage and indie fashion, trends, and advertising. She recently wrote an entry on the exploding red and black trend in fashion. Several people on this blog, including Eve, Marissa, and now Beth, were photographed wearing looks coordinated around these two colors.
