Last night, I sat first row at a private, industry-only runway show produced by Factor Model Management and Chosen Management modeling agencies at LaSalle Power Co and sponsored by Dealavue.com. The event, titled “A New Generation of Faces,” was designed to present the Chicago-based firm’s latest additions to their modeling stable. Ikram generously provided women’s clothing for the girls to wear. I was excited to see so many pieces from SUNO, since I just bought myself a dress from their collection. The men donned a simple uniform of white tees and blue jeans.
The show started promptly at 7:30 and local band Evoli provided the music. After the show, the group headed downstairs to the second floor of the spacious LaSalle Power Co. complex to drink, network, and party!
Industry people from casting firm Shahid & Co., Urban Outfitters, and Seventeen magazine were present, as were two of Chicago’s hottest bloggers, Lauren Kazun and Chelsea Cankar from Stic-of-the-Week. The evening’s festivities were generously sponsored by internet start-up Dealavue.com, which harnesses the power of group purchasing for the retail and fashion sectors.
Last night I served as the party photographer for local jewelry line Objets D’Envy’s party Sip!Nosh!Pose!. Designer Kirsten Goede is an avid follower of this website so I was more than happy help her document her Spring 2011 trunk show. The line exclusively uses Swarovski crystals in its charming designs. Currently carried at Macy’s on State Street, Objets D’Envy has been spotted on celebrities like Oprah’s friend Gayle King and actress Thora Birch. I had a fabulous time assisting Kirsten with her hosting duties and greatly enjoyed the atmosphere of Province restaurant.
