Chicago-based fashion designer Anna Hovet is wearing her own creation above. She presented her Spring 2011 collection in Macy’s Fashion Incubator runway show at Fashion Focus Chicago in Millennium Park. Anna has worked her way up through the Chicago fashion scene, first as a stylist at Akira while earning her BFA at the Art Institute of Chicago, then to designing for clients like Calvin Klein at Kids International, and now to designing her own line. Chicago native Jennifer Hudson was Anna’s first celebrity client, and certainly won’t be her last.
After drooling over Isa’s photos of Matt “The Gaudy God” Kasin over at Chicago Looks, I was finally lucky enough to finally meet the man himself at Fashion Focus Chicago. Matt is a vintage trader and stylist extraordinaire. Check out his website here.
