KAMP TIME hosted by SisterMan, Gaudy God, & Pluto

Warning: Promotional Video NSFW
April 30th, from 10 pm to 2 am, SisterMan, the Gaudy God, and Pluto are co-hosting an underground dance party and vintage pop-up shop at Defibrillator. Like Drunk Mall 2010, this party celebrates the classy trashy girl in all of us with cheap booze, dancehall ready clothing, and larger than life personalities. I’ll be there – will you?

The full-sized image of Linsey was originally featured on Refinery29 on April 11, 2011. Check out the post here. Her handbag is the Mulberry Alexa but I have no idea what brand her shoes or clothing are.

"A New Generation of Faces"

FrontRow

Last night, I sat first row at a private, industry-only runway show produced by Factor Model Management and Chosen Management modeling agencies at LaSalle Power Co and sponsored by Dealavue.com. The event, titled “A New Generation of Faces,” was designed to present the Chicago-based firm’s latest additions to their modeling stable. Ikram generously provided women’s clothing for the girls to wear. I was excited to see so many pieces from SUNO, since I just bought myself a dress from their collection. The men donned a simple uniform of white tees and blue jeans.

The show started promptly at 7:30 and local band Evoli provided the music. After the show, the group headed downstairs to the second floor of the spacious LaSalle Power Co. complex to drink, network, and party!

Industry people from casting firm Shahid & Co., Urban Outfitters, and Seventeen magazine were present, as were two of Chicago’s hottest bloggers, Lauren Kazun and Chelsea Cankar from Stic-of-the-Week. The evening’s festivities were generously sponsored by internet start-up Dealavue.com, which harnesses the power of group purchasing for the retail and fashion sectors.
