The sun had already set for the day and it was beginning to snow when I spotted Ainslee. Even though the lighting was poor and dominated by the orange glow of streetlamps, a flash would have ruined my ability to capture the contrast in textures between Ainslee’s white patent leather Dr. Martens and the fresh, powdery snow.
