Matt “the Gaudy God” Kasin                                          Benjamin Bradshaw

SISTERMAN, owned by Benjamin Bradshaw, specializes in “vintage party gear for ladies of all genders” for Chicago’s underground queer dance parties.

THE SOMETIMES STORE, owned by Alysse Dalessandro and Kirsten Kilponen, has sold clothes out of an infamous ex-boyfriend’s old bedroom, a gay nightclub and even out of a storefront owned by a witch. The store currently has showrooms in Pilsen and Brooklyn and an online store.
THE GAUDY GOD, Matt Kasin, styles, sells and designs in an aesthetic that he calls “classy trashy” or expensive bad taste. Although Kasin is best known for his TANKZ featuring photos of his mom, he is also a film student who takes inspiration from movies like Heathers & Desperate Living.
BUMMER TOWN is the confluence of the closets of Mia Santiago and Liz Rench. Obsessed withvintage, these shop owners love cheap (but quality) clothing from the ’40s-’90s for anybody and any body that not only stands out but also blends with a modern wardrobe.
JENSTYLE, owned by Jennifer Lorenz, specializes in vintage clothing that created the inspiration for current trends. She’s known for statement pieces like bedazzled coats and Ostrich leather boots.
HAPPY DOG GALLERY is a non-profit artist space in Wicker Park, located at 1542 N. Milwaukee Avenue.
