Kristin’s outfit shows that even a ladylike piece like a lace skirt can be transformed by personal style. The open weave sweater and denim chambray shirt lend a casual, California sensibility to a piece that could otherwise be super girly. I love how fashion can be such a strong tool for self-expression!

Then, I recreated Kristin’s outfit on Danielle. To show that lace is more versatile than people realize, I went with shorts that I scored for $129.99, compared at $250 elsewhere. Whether you choose a shirt or shorts, T.J.Maxx has lace covered with pieces that are high-quality and in-season, all for an amazing price. Casual yet polished, Kristin’s outfit seemed to truly express her personality while being on-trend for spring and polished enough for work.

I spotted Jocelyn in Santa Monica’s downtown shopping district. Her diagonal hem dress is super on-trend for spring. It’s boho-chic with just the right amount of personality – plus there’s endless ways to rock it! Jocelyn shows us how to build an outfit around a statement piece to express a personal sense of style.

With Amaris I wanted to take the core of Jocelyn’s look, her diagonal hem dress, and punch it up for spring with bright colors. There were so many great possibilities to choose from at T.J.Maxx, but when I came across this lemongrass dress –  found at T.J.Maxx for $149 compared to $625 elsewhere – I knew it was perfect. Not only is this designer dress an amazing way to channel spring style with its bold pop of color, I love discovering one-of-a-kind statement pieces like this one at an incredible price!

Leah is one of the most stylish women I know. I caught up with her on Chicago’s Goose Island, an industrial area that complements her edgy, fashion-forward personal style. I love how she channeled spring’s big black & white trend with a fitted tuxedo jacket, black leather pants and layers of silver jewelry.

Leah’s raw Chicago sensibility translated well onto a classic laid-back California girl like Kelsey. Trends are endlessly customizable – that’s the beautiful thing about fashion! I found this gorgeous designer tuxedo jacket at T.J.Maxx for an unbelievable $179.99, compared to $360 elsewhere, and added some edge with a pair of black and white boots. A fitted jacket is a great investment piece since you can wear it in so many different ways as Leah and Kelsey illustrate perfectly!
