I’m convinced that Miroslava Duma can pull off any look. Military inspired outfits are my favorite on her, and it’s not only because she’s Russian. Her petite figure and personal mystique lends itself well to sharp, tailored outfits and smart hats. Not many people could pull off the full Burberry runway look, complete with hat and fur. But hey, that’s why she’s a street-style icon, right?!
Giovanna Battaglia, the stunning model turned W Magazine editor (and girlfriend of Vladimir Restoin-Roitfeld), transforms a leopard print coat and great sneakers into a covetable look. After watching showgoers tip-toe around slush in delicate open-toed boots, spotting Giovanna in fashionable – yet logical – sneakers was a breath of fresh air. You’ll never see Giovanna trying too hard. She’s so cool, which why her style is closely followed in magazines and blogs around the world. I always look forward to photographing her at fashion week so it was a treat to see how she dresses in a snowstorm. Plus, it’s the perfect winter inspiration for my Chicagoans back home!
