Chicago Street Style: Michael

Chicago Street Style: Michael

I wish I had gotten a close-up photo of Michael’s double monk strap shoes. They’re such a stylish alternative to the ordinary men’s loafer. Jeff Kieslich, my friend (and very own personal guru for all things men’s fashion), identified Michael’s pants as the Rogue Territory safari trouser in rain drop camo print via an Instagram photo I posted last night.

If you don’t already follow me on Instagram my exclusive photo previews are an excellent reason to start. You can find me at ChiStreetStyle, exactly the same name as my Twitter account.

NET-A-PORTER x Refinery29 Party!

NET-A-PORTER x Refinery29 Party!

January 18, 2012

Me, Audrey Marie, Anna Derkin Wisniewski, and Jennifer Worman

Last Wednesday I was thrilled to attend a party hosted by two of my favorite websites, Refinery29 and NET-A-PORTER! You should be very familiar with my photography features in the street-style section of Refinery29. And what would online shopping be without NET-A-PORTER? The luxury fashion website was the first to really bring designer style to the entire planet with its global shipping model and London headquarters. Lots of my friends were in attendance including Anna of See Jane, Audrey of A Lovely Escape, and Jennifer of Red Soles Red Wine, who are pictured above.

With my friend Corri McFadden of The Style Block

I wore my new ‘Chicago Bears’ colored Proenza Schouler top with a Maasai beaded necklace I picked up on my safari in Kenya. Something tells me that Jack and Lazaro did not pick this color scheme based on NFL teams, but it’s an added benefit. If I ever decide to start caring about professional football I’ll already have a “game day top.” You know, for when hell freezes over.
