Rick Owens Sneakers

Elise and Jesse shoes
I photographed Jesse and his girlfriend wearing similar artfully grungy ensembles, complete with lightly tattered shirts and a monochromatic color palette. It was Jesse’s kicks that really caught my eye because I instantly recognized them as Rick Owens sneakers. Owens’ sneakers for men are far more wearable than his wedge boots for men. My friend Adam Sinding over at 21 Arrondissement owns the wedges, and they are difficult to break in (although I greatly admire his sacrifice for fashion). I think that Owens’ ability to push boundaries, and to coax people – especially men – out of their comfort zones with pieces like menswear skirts, is one of the core pillars of his success.
You too can own these sneakers, just click on over to view them at LuisaViaRoma.

Please follow me on Twitter: @ChiStreetStyle

I know tons of you follow me already since I have almost 1,200 followers, but I want to connect with all of you. Especially you shy people! Twitter is great for one-on-one conversations with me. I love to hear what you guys are thinking, what you want to see more of on my blogs, and what I can do to improve. I respond to every single person who tweets at me, so you don’t have to worry about me ignoring you.

It’s important for me to develop a personal connection with my readers. Twitter is an excellent tool for to use to get to know you all, and for you to get to know me. Without all of you who visit my site and share my content with your friends, my blog wouldn’t have blown up over the past year. I owe all of my success to you!

Enough Electric Forest coverage, right? Let me present to you Sean, whose baller attitude and insane swag made her an easy spot. Now, I just have to figure out where to find that teddy bear purse…
