I spotted Ana looking impossibly chic while feeding the parking meter on Rush Street. Rather than ask her to move away from the parking meter box, I thought it should remain as it was an integral element of the moment I captured on film. Not only are Brandy and Bryan an adorable couple, they are the perfect example of urban luxury consumers. Gucci, Louis Vuitton, and premium designer jeans are the ultimate status symbols amongst this class of shoppers. Brandy is wearing True Religion jeans and a Louis Vuitton shawl. Bryan is wearing a Moncler vest, a Gucci hat, and Gucci sneakers.
I broke my self-imposed rule of only taking streetstyle photographs outside with natural light. Elise looked so remarkably stylish at the Music Box Theater that I simply had no choice. She was there to support her friend, whose film about William S. Burroughs was one of two movies screening at Midnight Madness. I was there to see the John Waters classic film Female Trouble with The Gaudy God.
