Oliver Peoples Hearts Chicago: Final Day (Wrigley)

closeup

For the final installment of the Oliver Peoples ♥ Chicago limited-edition sunglasses collaboration, the frames traveled to Wrigley Field for some iconic shots in and around the stadium. Lucky for me, my aunt and uncle dropped into town to take me to a Cubs game. Perfect timing! I got some lovely shots of the glasses outside of Wrigley Field after things calmed down. Although I did manage to snag a photo of the glasses inside the stadium close to home plate.

Scenes from Chicago’s 2011 Gay Pride Parade

Policewoman

Sunday was the annual Chicago Gay Pride Parade in Lakeview. Although I missed the parade itself, I found the atmosphere of the entire day intoxicating in the best possible way. Even the police officers were in great moods as well, and not only because overtime pay is awesome. When crowds are happy and peaceful, cops tend to relax and have a good time too. The female police officer above actually gave me a huge hug when I stood up from photographing her. It’s the first time I’ve ever been hugged by a cop!
